2017 Season

 Greetings and Happy 2017, As the winter chill begins to lift and gives way to spring, the Mill at Anselma prepares for another exciting open season.  Winter days at the Mill tend to be relatively quiet, but a lot of the volunteers have been working behind the scenes to help continue to grow and expand our research, collections, and interpretation. Schedule for 2017 In 2017, The Mill at Anselma will once again be operating on a seasonal schedule.  Our normal operating hours are as follows: April 1-May 28 and September 9-December 9, the Mill will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  From Thursday, June 1 through Sunday, September  3, the Mill will be open Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Mill combines Mill Demonstrations and Special Event Days.  Check our events schedule for the latest events and demos. What's Happening at the Mill? Our collection's team, headed by volunteer Morris Farnum, began work on organizing, identifying, and documenting the assorted artifacts, documents, and pictures.  It is amazing to see the results they have come up with thus far.  Some of these items include day books from Simmers and Collins, pictures of Oliver Collins, and purchase orders to The Fitz Water Wheel Company.  The task they started was not an easy one, but this group of dedicated volunteers has done an amazing job so far.  Many thanks to Morris Farnum, Bernie Greenburg, Tom Tanner, Dusty Grady, Debbie Rollenhagen, and Dave Rollenhagen in helping with this project. The Mill in Operation!

In April, we plan to have one day when the Mill will be in full operational mode producing flour. We will publish more information closer to the date.  If it occurs when we are open to the public, this will be a wonderful opportunity to visit The Mill and see what it is like producing flour. Tours are likely to be at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm. 2:00pm, and 3:00pm. Please call ahead to confirm the schedule.
