A brief history of the Irish in Phoenixville starting from the first immigrants in the 1810s living in Sceilp Level along the Schuylkill River to a boxing legend in the 1950s. They dug the canal, built the railroad, worked in the mills, and fought in the Civil War. Hear stories about individuals such as one that was the Last Survivor of the Charge of the Light Brigade, a Gettysburg hero, and more about local legends. Hear their stories with plenty of heroics and humor.
